About
I am a photonics engineer working at the intersection of terahertz science and silicon photonic integrated circuits (PICs). My work spans the full chain: device design and electromagnetic simulation, cleanroom nanofabrication, and high-frequency characterization on custom-built THz benches.
During my PhD at IEMN I fabricated and measured topological silicon PICs operating at 600 GHz — the first experimental demonstration of topological functionalities in silicon photonic circuits at this frequency, published in the Journal of Lightwave Technology. Today I extend that work to reconfigurable intelligent surfaces for 6G wireless links.
Alongside research, I coordinate multi-lab European consortia and have a growing interest in AI/LLM tooling for science and in deep-tech entrepreneurship — translating photonics research into products and education that reach beyond the lab.
